– We highly recommend our moms to drink 3 gallons of water 3 days leading up to
your appointment. Drink your water throughout the day. Not all at once. You do
not need to have a full bladder upon your arrival (unless you are less than 10
weeks).

– 1½ hours before coming in for your appointment, please eat a high calorie meal
and ½ hour before we recommend drinking some fruit juice (assuming this is
acceptable as per your doctor). This can help wake up the baby and make them
more active!

When you are over 36 weeks of pregnancy, the baby is already big and sometimes is in position for labor, therefore it gets difficult to see the baby but it is possible we have had cases of pregnancy of 39 weeks where we were able to get a beautiful picture of the baby. If your fluid is good, we can get pictures up to the very end.

Our scans are non-diagnostic and do not replace the ultrasound scans ordered by your doctor. We are unable to measure the baby or provide any medical information regarding the progression of the pregnancy and the health of the baby.

If we are unable to get a clear image due to baby position, we are more than happy to rebook your scan for another day at no extra cost.

The only way to tell you the size of your baby is with measurements, which is considered a medical/diagnostic procedure. The imaging sessions we offer are not considered medical procedures and therefore we will not be able to tell you the size of your baby or the condition of his/her health. Our sessions do not replace the regular prenatal care of your doctor. Our sonographer’s are medically trained, are certified and ARDMS eligible. While we are not looking for problems, should we see one, we would call your doctor immediately.

Depending on the ultrasound package that you select, your session will last between 10 and 25 minutes. However, plan on spending 30 minutes to an hour at our studio so that we can send you home with memories to last a lifetime. It is best to arrive a few minutes early to fill out our paperwork.

We do not contact your doctor prior to the scan since this is an elective procedure. If we do see something wrong during the scan, we contact your doctor and send her the report. We do require however that you currently are under prenatal care and if you have any concerns, you should ask your doctor. Ultrasound technicians in general cannot make a diagnosis.

Yes, appointments are required for all of our services.

If you plan on having only one 3D/4D ultrasound, we would recommend scheduling your appointment to take place between the 26th and 34th week of the pregnancy. However, excellent images of your baby can be obtained anytime after about 22 weeks of pregnancy and up until your baby’s birth. Many mothers choose to have more than one 3D/4D ultrasound and have images to enjoy from their second and third trimesters.

An elective prenatal ultrasound provides a bonding experience for the mother, father, and loved ones of the unborn baby. The realistic surface images can provide you with a connection before they are even born. However, this does not take place of an ultrasound at your doctors office. Women seeking an ultrasound must already be receiving prenatal care through a physician or midwife and rely on them for medical or diagnostic related pregnancy questions or issues.

First, pay attention to when your baby is most active during the day and try to schedule your appointment during that time. Second, pay attention to whether eating and drinking impact your baby’s energy levels and try to eat or not eat right before your ultrasound. Many babies seem to perk up after mommy drinks cold and/or fruity beverages, so we recommend having a fruit smoothie on your way to your appointment. It is important not to get dehydrated right before your appointment, because this may negatively impact your level of amniotic fluid and your pictures. Many times, the best pictures of your baby are obtained when he or she has turned head downward, so if you know that your baby is breech, you may want to postpone your appointment a week or two to increase the chance of your baby turning before your appointment.

Because this is an elective, non-diagnostic ultrasound, we do not accept insurance policies.

A 3D/4D ultrasound uses the same frequency as your doctor uses in a 2D Ultrasound. Ultrasounds have been performed for over 35 years and there have been no proven side effects to its proper use. We strictly adhere to FDA standards.

We are currently allowing the expecting mother, plus 6 guests. children under 12 years old are welcomed and do not count as an adult. We are not requiring masks any longer, but feel free to wear one if your so inclined to do so. We will wear our mask all the time.

3D is a still image while 4D captures motion.
